Nike font achieves something very few brand typefaces ever manage: it has become as motivating as the product itself. The logo lettering is Futura Bold Condensed — Paul Renner’s 1927 geometric masterpiece given its most athletic application — its compressed, forward-thrusting proportions communicating speed and determination with the same efficiency as the Swoosh beside it. The combination of a logotype that looks like it’s already moving and a symbol that looks like motion itself created one of the most kinetically charged visual identities in commercial history. The freely available Nike Futura Font package gives designers access to this iconic condensed geometric system.
