Arrow font

Arrow font — designed by JoannaVu — is a sans-serif font with genuine structural intent: the letterforms’ angular, blade-like edges are not decoration but character, every sharp termination a small argument that this typeface was designed for a show about a man who has been fundamentally changed by violence and uses precision as both a weapon and a coping mechanism.

The CW’s 2012 series, which launched the Arrowverse and established the template for DC’s streaming television properties, needed title typography that could hold the show’s tonal ambition — darker and more grounded than previous superhero television, influenced as much by Christopher Nolan’s Batman films as by the comics — and the sleek, angular sans-serif delivers it.

The freely available Arrow Font brings this sharp-edged, vigilante-aesthetic energy to designers’ projects.
