Futurama Font

Futurama Font is a retro-futuristic display font — closely matched by Rainfall Black, with a slight variation on the “F” — used in Matt Groening’s animated sci-fi comedy that premiered on Fox in 1999, following pizza delivery boy Philip J. Fry after he is accidentally cryogenically frozen on New Year’s Eve 1999 and wakes up a thousand years later in New New York.

Its bold, rounded, Space Age-inflected lettering sits at the intersection of 1950s science fiction optimism and late-1990s irony — exactly the tonal position the show occupied throughout its run. A free alternative is available.
