Squid Game font arrived with the Netflix phenomenon it named in 2021 and became, almost overnight, one of the most globally recognised title treatments of the streaming era — a bold, geometric sans-serif in which circles, triangles, and squares are embedded as decorative elements, the same shapes that appear on the guards’ masks and the game cards, embedding the show’s visual system directly into its own lettering. The typography is clean and playful on the surface, with the cheerful primary-colour aesthetic of a children’s game, which makes its context — a lethal competition built on the desperation of debt-ridden contestants — land with precisely the intended dissonance.
